Want to know the secret behind creamy puréed potatoes?! Today I share with you this well kept secret: simply cook the potatoes in milk! Easy peasy and oh so yummy!
Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes
- 750ml milk
- 30gr butter
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- Salt & pepper
How to Make It
Step 1
Wash and peel the potatoes
Step 2
Pour the milk into a pot and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg
Step 3
Add the peeled potatoes
Cook for about 35 – 40 minutes (you know your potatoes are cooked once a knife blade slides easily through them)
Step 4
Remove the pot from the stove
Step 5
Mash the potatoes either by using a hand masher or using a blender for a smoother finish
Step 6
Add the butter and let it melt. You can definitely go for a larger quantity of butter for a creamier purée
Step 7
Serve hot
