Pineapple Flambé

 Pineapple Flambé

Sweet it’s Saturday! Try out this easy, delicious & quick to make fruit dessert! 

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pineapple
  • 10cl rhum
  • 20gr butter
  • 1/2 orange juiced
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbs sugar

How to Make It

Step 1

Peel the pineapple and remove the coarse middle stem and chop finely (about 1cm)

Step 2

add the orange and lemon juice into a small bowl and add the spices. Mix

Step 3

Add the previous mixture to the chopped pineapples and marinate for a few minutes

Step 4

Melt the butter over medium to high heat
Add the chopped pineapples and the marinade

Step 5

Add the sugar and cook until caramelized

Step 6

Add the rhum into the skillet and very quickly light it up. Caution, make sure you take a step back as the fire can go quite high!

Step 7

Cook for another minute or so
Serve warm and garnish with a couple of mint leaves
