It’s How-To-Wednesday as I bring to you yet another cherry recipe! Making homemade sorbet has never been easier! And the cool thing is, you can adapt this recipe to almost any kind of fruit you decide to freeze in order to enjoy frozen on a hot summer’s day! Oh and guess what? It’s dairy free!! Which also makes it vegan friendly💚
Ingredients
- 4 cups Frozen cherries
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tbs sugar (could be replaced by honey)
- Basil leaves (optional)
How to Make It
Step 1
Pit the cherries and place them in the freezer overnight
Step 2
Place the frozen cherries into a blender, add the sugar and lemon juice
Blend at high speed and drop in the fresh basil leaves. You might need to push the cherries down as you blend. The liquid quantity being quite little means your cherries might stagnate at the top of the blender. It is also possible you might need to increase the liquid quantity, in which case, add a teaspoonful of lemon juice at a time until you reach your desired consistency
Step 3
Once the mixture has blended completely, place it in a Tupperware and freeze for at least a couple of hours
Enjoy on any chosen hot day of the week 🙂
